Facelift
Facelift For Men
A face lift is a cosmetic surgical procedure to refresh (rejuvenate) the appearance of your face. The procedure can reduce and redrape the sagging skin and deeper tissues on the face, jawline and neck.
As we age, the tissues of the face lose their natural elasticity and youthful position. The combination of skin changes laxity of supporting ligaments and changes in the distribution of underlying soft tissues results in the appearance of facial ageing.
These effects are compounded by genetics, gravity, smoking, sun exposure and the stresses of daily life. A face lift cannot stop the natural ageing process but can rejuvenate the face by redistributing fat, tightening the underlying muscles and redraping skin, giving you a more refreshed look. A facelift can be performed alone or in combination with other procedures such as skin resurfacing, fat grafting, brow (forehead) lift, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), or neck lift.

Why it’s done
As you get older, the appearance and shape of your face are altered because of normal age-related changes. Your skin becomes less elastic and looser, and fat deposits decrease in some areas of your face and increase in others.
Age-related changes in your face that may be reduced with a face-lift include the following:
- Sagging appearance of your cheeks
- Excess skin at your lower jawline (jowls)
- Deepening of the fold of skin from the side of your nose to the corner of your mouth
- Sagging skin and excess fat in the neck (if the procedure includes a neck lift)
A face-lift isn’t a treatment for superficial wrinkles, sun damage, creases around the nose and upper lip, or irregularities in skin colour.
This process may also help to actively repair and regenerate the tissues into which fat is injected as fat graft also imports stem cells and growth factors. Visible scarring is minimised by carefully breaking up any incisions, and a special technique is used to encourage hair growth through the healed scar.
