Brachioplasty- Arm Lift
Brachioplasty removes excess skin and fat which hang from the upper arm. The amount removed is determined by the degree of laxity of the skin. The scar generally runs from the armpit to the elbow on the inner aspect of the arm, positioned so that the scar is not visible when the arm is held against the body.
Why it’s done
It treats sagging underarms by removing extra skin, tightening and smoothing tissue, and removing extra fat. This can make your upper arms look more toned and defined.
Ageing and genetics both play a role in the development of sagging skin. You might also be left with extra skin after losing a lot of weight. Regardless of what’s causing your sagging skin, there are several things to keep in mind when considering an arm lift.

The Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Clinic in Bracken Ave was opened by John de Geus in 1985 which he ran till his retirement in 2010. Ashwin Chunilal joined the practice in 2005. Jonathan Heather joined in 2013. The practice continues to run in the same format with consultations and local anesthetic procedures performed at the rooms and general anaesthetic cases being done at authorised hospitals.
